Funny how often I think of things I could post here, and then just completely fail to do so. Like even mentioning what I've been up to.
I went to Disney last week. This was the trip that kept falling out of people's brains, so I'm not sure how many people even knew about it. Adam & Robynne were going down to renew Robynne's employee status, and have some fun, and Adam graciously offered to let me crash in their hotel room free of charge. On top of that, Robynne's Disney-employee friend Jerimee graciously gave us three free days in the parks. So my only real expenses were food and transportation, which is how I was able to afford it. We stayed at All-Star Music, which is the nicest motel I'm ever likely to see, and I brought along the Playstation and DDR equipment. I suck at DDR more than I realized (having only previously played once in my life), but Adam and Robynne are kind of good at it. Now if only I had room to set it up here...
Thanks to the Disney trip I have a new travel goal: get to every country in the Epcot World Showcase. There are eleven. I've been to seven of them. Which leaves Italy, Norway, Morocco, and China. I think I can do that...
Since I got back I've been making a renewed attempt to learn C (good), spending way too much time on the Internet (bad), tidying my bedroom (good), and playing stupid Palm Pilot games (bad). On the job front, I had a phone message from the woman at Google when I got back, which said "I know you're still on vacation, but I'm calling you now to let you know that I'm going to be gone next week, so I'll call you the week of the 20th to set up that interview." Dude. And I was advised to send my resume to my former boss, so did, and got an encouraging response back from that. Maybe I'll get a job in California just as this Boston deep freeze ends. Would be just my luck.
