I've been having weird and vivid enough dreams lately that I probably ought to be keeping a dream journal, or something.
The latest one involved my extended family (because it turned out that I had four half-siblings I'd never heard of before, on my mother's side but kids of my father, which father had simultaneously run off to California many years before and had been around and married to Mom all this time) trying to get to some Catholic event (Easter? just communion? I can't remember.) We got stuck in a very localized blinding snowstorm, but made it through because we could see the telephone poles on either side of the road -- despite being totally covered in snow -- and finally made it to what looked more like a community center than a church. The nuns seemed far more laid-back and friendly than most nuns I've had experience with.
Meanwhile, somewhere in there I was visiting a T-Mobile store toward Brookline Village from Beacon Street, and it had a comfy couch, and
obra was working there and had long hair. And I was trying to take a nap on the couch in my dream during my nap, which never works very well. But it was a very relaxing counterpoint to trying to get through a wall of snow.
At any rate, it got me thinking about sibling relationships. Having long-lost half-siblings would be very weird.
