Poll time! Because I'm supposed to be revising for exams, and have reached that convenient "despair" point. As in, "I'm never going to be able to remember all this shit, or keep names straight, or answer questions in nearly the detail that $tutor seems to suggest I'll need to."
Got an email from $company today, indicating that they've received my signed contract. They did not, evidently, read it through though, because whereas I'd told them that I would start in mid-July, the email informed me that my expected start date is 27 June, and that they'll expect me at 8:45 am. Which is kind of funny, because at 11:45 am on 27 June I'll be in the exam schools having my viva. (That's like a defense, but of my written work and my exams, not just my thesis.) So I'll have to call them tomorrow and sort that out.
It does have me, once again, pondering the question "Where in London should I live?" I've been pestering people with it on & off, but it's nice to have answers all in one place. And so I ask, once more, for the collected LJ wisdom. Especially the wisdom of those who know London reasonably well. [Note to all concerned: the spelling in the title is INTENTIONAL. It is not really a sign of me going native.]
Oh, hell, no point in doing it as a poll really. Where should I live? And why?
