I was all bummed out because I didn't make it to Krispy Kreme one last time before leaving Boston. I figured I would have to go until December without any krack.
But no, they opened a small store in Harrod's today. The prices are outrageous (£.90 for original glazed, £1.10 for other) but they are there! And I can get my fix if I really need it.
Other things from today: Woke up late, so didn't spend the morning in a bookstore as planned; had a quick lunch near South Kensington so that we could make it to the Lord of the Rings exhibit at 1. It was really quite cool; they have juxtaposed the story explanations with the moviemaking explanations, and the story explanations do give the impression of an anthropological culture display or something. And it's really just kind of neat to have seen these mythical objects on the big screen, and then be faced with them in the display cases. And Arwen's sword is just cool. Sadly, no pictures were allowed.
Then we went to Harrod's for krack, then walked it down to Hyde Park and picnicked on a dozen. And now I have lowered myself to an internet cafe because I needed to get an email out, but we didn't feel like carrying our computers around.
I am still not sleeping nearly enough. This needs to stop.
