This evening was Nora and Stephanie's bon voyage party, to give Stephanie a sendoff to Mauritania. It was a lot of fun.

The first fun thing was that I re-connected with a lot of Akamai Customer Care people, and met at least one I hadn't actually talked to before. I have asked to be brought back in the ccare social loop, so hopefully I will be seeing more of them soon. (There's apparently a trip to see the Matrix on Thursday, which I probably ought to see if tickets are still available for. That would be kind of fun.)

The second fun thing was that people liked my brownies. Yay!

The third fun thing started as a gut-wrenching thing -- one of the entertainments of the evening was Kiril and Cassie doing a couple of Argentine tangos. It made me really, really miss dancing. And then they did a tango to Viennese waltz music, which kind of put me over the top. (Vwaltz is my favorite dance, of all the dancing I really miss.) So I was sad for a bit, but then started talking about dancing with them, and it turns out that Kiril knows how to swing. And someone started playing a swing, and so we danced. And it was way too much fun. And pretty much all the dance steps we did came back to me as we did them. (He was a good enough lead that that was possible.) And did I mention it was fun?

It was a bad idea to be dancing in hiking boots on carpet though. My legs still hurt.

And now I'm reminded of my vague crushes on particular ccare people. It seems that cute people are once again becoming cute.

help!

I really need distraction for this week. I therefore order all my local friends to be doing interesting things, and tell me about them. Being available for doing interesting things would also work.
